East London By Halves
I got my first half-frame camera back in the winter of 2005, I was heavily in to the photography of Isaac McKay-Randozzi (later to be a good friend) and wanted to try out the different way of taking photos by creating in-camera diptychs with a lovely little cheap Olympus Pen EE3. My first time I used it I went to visit a friend in East London and whilst she was busy doing chores I followed her around and took photos, most of which were around Liverpool Street station and Shoreditch. When I got the film back I got instantly hooked and used the camera solidly for years. Recently it has been a little neglected but I’m going to start using it more this year, it’s perfect for having in your pocket all the time.
