Southsea Castle is where King Henry 8th watched his pride of the fleet The Mary Rose sink as it left Portsmouth to go in to battle. The high point of land it sits on juts out in to the Solent and gives elevated views to both the east and the west and in summer the benches are a wonderful spot to watch the sea and the world pass by.
