And You Will Know Us

Some bands you like you figure you’ll never get the chance to see live, certainly not within walking distance of your home. And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead I have been in to since around 2000 when I heard ‘Madonna’ and when I saw they were playing in Southsea I bought a ticket straight away, no more missed opportunities is one of my New Year’s resolutions.

I ended up going to see them by myself, which was fine, sometimes seeing a band you want to focus totally on the music, which was pretty incredible. They played some my favourite songs of theirs and were so loud I had ringing ears for two days after (two drummers at one point were jumbling up everyones internal organs) but it was all worth it. Only bad thing was I didn’t take any decent photos. Next time, maybe.
