Undulating Waves of the Incoming Tide

The flat sandy beach of West Wittering had a strange effect with the quick incoming tide, resulting in constant undulating waves of seawater quickly and constantly creeping up the beach. The tide only took a matter of minutes to reclaim the lower part of the beach, pushing back myself and the handful of people enjoying the sands during the middle of the week.

I couldn’t help wondering if the waves of water were translated in to waves of sound what the ripples and converging peaks would sound like.
