Follow the Rails

A little while back I went for a walk following some old railway tracks that were decommissioned 20 years or so ago. The rails used to leave the main line just west of Hamble station and went south down to an oil refinery that now provides most of the aviation fuel for Gatwick. Since the track closed the woods and plants have enveloped it at one end and the growth of the village has meant the other end now merges in to a road leading to new houses.
