Things Stay The Same, How Things Change

Although all three of these photos are taken from almost the same spot, they span eleven years of my life. The bottom photo was taken in 1997 with a cheap compact camera back when I was still at university and I visited San Francisco with a group of friends. The second was in January 2008 with my old faithful OM10 SLR which actually died the same day due to the rain storm. The last was during a return visit in autumn of the same year, shot with a different OM10 and cross-processed. It’s daunting how much time has passed and maybe more daunting, how much I have changed, yet the bridge remains stoically unmoved.
