A Sense of the 50s
Whilst out skating in Alameda we ducked in to an empty diner to grab some drinks and some food, the place seemed like it hadn’t changed much in decades. In a good way. I think the first thought for me when someone mentions diner is America in the 50s, shark fin cars, Happy Days, malts and burgers, etc. As cliché as that sounds, I do think there still is a thread leading back to that time, aesthetically. Maybe.

The sheen of the glass and the reflections look amazing. Do you think that’s a by product of the cross processing?
I know I sometimes get the opposite effect when I digitally cross process (like I can use it to remove reflections from water).

I don’t think it’s a result of the processing although I couldn’t say for sure, now you mention it.
I hadn’t really noticed the reflections before, really liking them now you’ve pointed them out.
