Coastal Fission Part 1 – Onshore
For me, the placing of nuclear power stations in remote and wild locations for safety reasons creates a sort of visual irony, with man pulling at the raw ingredients of nature, while nature itself seems to take ownership of the environment. This makes visiting these power stations all the more interesting. I visited Sizewell beach last year in the winter and the dominating structures (with the instantly identifiable dome of B station) in nestling on the edge of the quiet beach and North Sea made for a really enjoyable walk.
