Walking down from Dell Quay to Chichester Marina some of the harbour coastline route is sadly not possible along the beach, even when the tide is low. You walk up on to the footpath that lies behind the many trees that overhang the beach. From up there I could watch the lone paddling of someone in a canoe (or kayak, I can never remember which is which). Being out alone on the water must be rather wonderful.
